Australian Diamonds Netball Team win back no. 1 ranking

The Australian Diamonds netball team have regained their no. 1 world ranking with a terrific win over the New Zealand Silver Ferns in Melbourne yesterday.

Winning 44 to 41, the Australian team – in their new racer back netball dresses –fought hard to overcome a strong-starting New Zealand team. In the third quarter, The Aussie girls narrowed the five point buffer and continued to play well to win by three points. Not only did they regain their no. 1 ranking, the win means that the Diamonds have won the Holden Netball Test Series and retain the Constellation Cup, presented to them by Australia’s Governor General, Quentin Bryce.

Congratulations to Australia’s netball team players, coaches and all who help to make this team one of the greatest.
